Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | August 12th, 2014
Reports of reduced demand and increasing Middle East Oil supply sent fuel prices down even more last week and to start this week. Despite conflicts with oil rich countries in the Middle East the market found some good news in new oil being exported from that region this week.
The New Mexico refined fuel supply chain is uninterrupted for the most part. Some tightness remains due to lower production from Texas refineries.
Local refiners are bottoming the market in El Paso. Odessa supply is getting better. Desert Fuels has an abundant supply of competitively priced gas and diesel in El Paso.
No significant change in this region.
Colorado – Front Range
Supply issues are still plaguing this region. Long lines at the racks and supply limited to contract customers are factors that are keeping the Front Range on edge. Order as early as you can.
