Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | November 25th, 2014
Gas prices keep dropping. The price for unleaded is down $.32 cents per gallon from one year ago and diesel is $.16 cents per gallon less than one year ago. Cheapest gas in the nation? Santa Fe, New Mexico at $2.48 retail.
Supply continues to be tight as local refiners have created huge swings both up and down in daily pricing. Be sure to call ahead so Desert Fuels can help you make the best buying decisions.
The Odessa, TX terminal is still having issues with product. Extremely tight supply is causing fuel to be brought in from other locations weighing heavy on carriers and supply in surrounding areas. This is creating a domino effect of supply shortage as far as El Paso and Phoenix.
Phoenix and Tucson are experiencing a shortage of diesel this week. Line up your loads with as much advanced notice as possible.
