November 19, 2013 | Weekly Fuel Market Update
Prices nationwide are dropping to lows we’ve not seen in years. Even with the slight increase in cost over the last week, averages are still reasonably low. With less seasonal demand for product, along with the switchover to a winter grade fuel, we could expect prices to hover where they currently are for the next couple of months.
The Land of Enchantment is still tight on product. The Artesia, NM area in particular is actually having fuel hauled in to meet the surrounding need. This is a situation with no end-date in sight. Albuquerque, however, has the supply, and we’re moving those gallons.
West Texas / El Paso
Supply is good in these areas allowing for prices to taper in the past few weeks. Desert Fuels is growing in the Amarillo area and has plenty of fuel available, even with the unexpected shutdowns hitting some local refineries.
No significant update this week.
Colorado – Front Range
With the colder months at the door, Desert Fuels is prepared to meet the demand for #1 diesel and winter blend.
