Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | March 18th, 2014
Diesel and gas prices did not move much at the beginning of the week, even though turmoil in Russia was expected to cause an increase in the cost of crude. This could be a result of U.S. crude oil production reaching one of its highest levels since the late 80s. As the weather warms, we could see a decrease in the cost of heating oil and cheaper diesel.
Prices this week are starting to rise slightly, following a week when we saw the market work it’s way down. With the roller coaster of fuel prices, buying at the right time is key. With a Desert Fuels’ fixed contract and guaranteed supply, fuel shortages are never a problem.
Supply is good and prices highly competitive in the Amarillo and Lubbock areas.
Good supply throughout the Phoenix and Tucson areas.
