Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | May 12th, 2015
Nationally
Prices for wholesale gas and diesel were slightly down then back up to start the week, after 8 consecutive weeks of gains. The price for a barrel of crude oil seems to be holding steady at the $60 mark and it appears that the chance of diesel prices going back down are getting slimmer.
New Mexico
The supply of gas in the state remains tight, but is improving. Order gas loads with as much advanced notice as possible to avoid running out. Diesel supply is stronger and remains very competitive.
West Texas
Gas remains very tight, especially in the El Paso area. We can bring fuel in from other markets, but options are limited. Diesel supply, on the other hand, is good throughout the region. Supply in Amarillo, Lubbock, and Odessa is better for both gas and diesel.
Arizona
No significant update this week.
