Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | December 23rd, 2014
Fuel markets continue downward this Christmas week with a slight .04 cpg bounce today. Over-supply around the world and the fact that America has become an energy producing powerhouse will keep prices low into the first quarter of 2015.
Supply is good in Albuquerque and most parts of the state with anticipated tightness expected the first week of the new year due to local refinery maintenance.
As expected, the Odessa terminal is getting back to normal with good supply out of both Odessa and Big Springs. Desert Fuels has very competitive pricing in this area as well as Amarillo, Lubbock, and El Paso.
The state is enjoying some of the lowest prices on fuel in five years with overall good supply as suppliers reduce inventories in the last week of the year.
