Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | November 4th, 2014
Nationally
Rising global supply and worldwide economic concerns are the primary factors keeping crude oil and refined fuel trading at record low prices, while planned and unplanned refinery outages around the country are causing regional prices to spike periodically.
New Mexico
Local refineries continue to produce without interruption even during smaller planned outages over the last month. Prices spiked by up to .17 cents per gallon several times in October. We expect supply to be good in the area through the end of the year.
West Texas
The Odessa Magellan Terminal has been down for almost a week as suppliers scramble to keep customers supplied from Big Spring and other West Texas Terminals. Desert Fuels has good supply in all of the surrounding terminals and the ability to haul from New Mexico and El Paso with competitive prices.Arizona
Arizona
Phoenix is experiencing a shortage of diesel at the moment. Line up your loads with as much advanced notice as possible.
