Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | October 7th, 2015
The market made a significant turn higher on four consecutive days this week. Reports of reduced production, higher demand, and comments from OPEC about lower production have led to the turn.
We are seeing the Gulf Coast and Group 3 Spot Market prices come back into play this week as local refineries begin to tighten some.
Diesel supply and prices are very good in El Paso today. With the market up, be sure to order your loads as early as possible to take advantage of lower priced fuel ahead of the price change.
Look for tightening supply in Phoenix and Tucson as California refineries head into planned maintenance. The region is also supplied by pipelines from the Gulf Coast which keep the the area flowing when the West Coast slows down.
