Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | December 16th, 2014
Wholesale diesel and gasoline prices dropped about .04 cents per gallon today, saving you about $350 per load if you buy tomorrow instead of today.
Retail gasoline prices dipped under $2 dollars per gallon in parts of the U.S., with a barrel of oil selling below $60 dollars a barrel this week. If fixing your price per gallon for 2015 is a part of your fuel-buying strategy, now could be the time to lock in that price.
As the end of the year draws closer, we are seeing an abundant supply of fuel hitting the market around New Mexico. Pipeline issues and upcoming refinery maintenance could cause supply to tighten up at the start of the new year.
Odessa is still plagued with supply outages, rack problems, and four hour lines. The Odessa rack should start to improve slowly and get back to what we saw at the beginning of the year.
We are seeing much better supply in Phoenix and Tucson this week.
