The U.S. weekly retail gasoline average increased 2 cents over the past week to $3.2530. This is still down compared to December’s averages. The average is down over 30 cents from 6 months ago.
The nation currently relies on imported oil for roughly 40% of its requirements, but news of additional oil fields in Texas becoming available for drilling may further decrease imports while boosting our own crude oil exports.
Product is available and the price is right. We anticipate a squeeze in the Artesia, NM area in the near future with a day or two of tight gas supply, but our ability to pull from another location should keep delivery problem-free.
