Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | January 7, 2015
Crude oil dipped below $50 dollars a barrel yesterday to the lowest prices since 2009. Reports of significant declines in production around the world could mean that we are close to the bottom.
We’re anticipating some tightness in diesel supply in the next week as a local refiner goes into turnaround (planned shutdown for maintenance.) Desert Fuels always has supply in New Mexico with the ability to bring fuel from every terminal in the Southwest.
More same day deliveries now in Midland/Odessa as lines ease up at the Odessa Magellan Terminal. Both gas and diesel remain in good supply in El Paso and around the Western plains.
As more diesel is shipped into the Tucson and Phoenix markets we’re seeing prices reflect more nationwide daily movements.
