Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | February 10th, 2015
Winter storms with record breaking snowfall continue to hit hard in the Northeast. Additional storms on the west coast this week are adding to delays in production and increasing the demand. Over the weekend, additional workers walked out at refineries. Several refineries are now operating with limited staff. Although production is fairly automated, an extended strike will impact fuel output and prices are expected to trend up.
Product tightness in both gas and diesel exists throughout NM as local refinery maintenance continues into February. Desert Fuels has supply available from multiple sources and continues to have fuel available at competitive prices to meet your needs.
Desert Fuels continues to have an abundance of diesel fuel available in the El Paso area. Supply in Odessa also seems to be back to normal levels and available for same day deliveries in most circumstances.
No significant update in this area.
