Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | February 25th, 2015
Diesel (Heating oil) wholesale prices gained then lost over $.20 cents per gallon in the last three days. Mixed reports of product shortages, winter weather in the North, higher inventories in the gulf, rumors of stricter regulations on fracking, and excess gasoline supply all contributed to the mayhem.
Wholesale fuel pricing may be the most complex part of the industry. Desert Fuels wants to help you buy like a pro. Check out this collection of our most read and most popular articles on purchasing wholesale fuel.
Local suppliers are beginning to flood the wholesale market as refineries come out of turnaround (planned maintenance) in the region. Other than a few glitches causing backup at Albuquerque terminals yesterday, the region has good supply.
Supply in El Paso as well as Amarillo, Lubbock, and Odessa is good with very little slow down or back up at the terminals.
Tucson continues to be a very tight market. Line up loads with as much lead time as possible.
