December 10, 2013 | Weekly Fuel Market Update
Extreme winter weather is causing some disruption in the supply chain around the Southwest. Refiners and terminals are experiencing temporary shutdowns due to maintenance and weather-related problems.

The winter freeze and a foot of snow temporarily shut down the Moriarty HollyFrontier terminal last week. Western Refining will be upgrading pipes around the Albuquerque terminal this weekend, which could cause some delays on delivering loads. Other local refineries around the state are continuing to be effected by the extreme weather, tightening supply in the affected areas.
West Texas / El Paso
We are seeing some tight supply in El Paso as refineries and terminals deal with the effects of the unusually cold weather. Thankfully, Desert Fuels planned ahead and has great supply and competitive prices in El Paso, as well as Amarillo and Lubbock.
Our diesel and gas supply is good in both Phoenix and Tucson.
At Desert Fuels, we do more than just sell fuel. We’re redefining the wholesale fuel industry. Check it out here.
Colorado – Front Range
Expect temporary loading rack closures at the Magellan Aurora terminal in Denver this week. Line up your loads as early as possible since supply can be tight.
