Weekly Fuel Market Update (WFMU) | June 21st, 2016
Diesel and gas prices rallied on Friday and Monday following a week of losses. As of Monday, diesel was trading up over .10 cents from last week and gasoline was up .08 cents.
Gas supply remains tight in the Albuquerque area. With the Moriarty terminal still having issues with gas supply, this is causing other terminals to go through volumes they are not normally going through. We hope this will start to get better in the next week but there is no assurance at this time.
Tightness still looms in the region but there is light at the end of the tunnel as it seems that the Magellan pipeline issue should be fixed within the next few days. Once this is fixed, the tightness should subside and we may see prices return to normal. Product is available from Amarillo to Lubbock to Big Spring/Odessa.
Tucson has been a “go to” for diesel lately. The price there has allowed us to pull fuel from there into other tighter regions.
No supply or pricing alerts at this time.
